Job Overview:
The Certified IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing restoration and cleaning services for residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, and other types of damage. This role involves leading a team, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. *Project Management:*

  • Lead and manage restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Conduct initial assessments and develop action plans for restoration and cleaning services.
  • Coordinate with clients, insurance companies, and subcontractors as needed.

2. *Technical Expertise:*

  • Perform water extraction, drying, mold remediation, fire and smoke damage restoration, and other cleaning services according to IICRC standards.
  • Use and maintain specialized equipment, including air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters, and cleaning tools.

3. *Team Leadership:*

  • Supervise and train technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and IICRC guidelines.
  • Assign tasks and monitor the progress of team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety regulations.

4. *Customer Service:*

  • Communicate effectively with clients, addressing concerns and providing updates on project status.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Conduct final walk-throughs with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any remaining issues.

5. *Documentation and Reporting:*

  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation of all restoration activities, including moisture readings, equipment usage, and work logs.
  • Prepare reports for clients, insurance companies, and company records.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

6. *Continued Education:*

  • Stay updated with the latest IICRC standards and industry best practices.
  • Attend training sessions and obtain additional certifications as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
  • Current IICRC certification in water damage restoration (WRT), applied structural drying (ASD), mold remediation (AMRT), or other relevant certifications.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the restoration industry, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of restoration techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions and handle physically demanding tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as required
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites within the region.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment and materials.
